Smallwood Trust – Grants to Individuals
Support for women experiencing financial hardship through community grant partners rather than a general direct application route.
Glasspool – Flexible Frontline Fund
Grants to support people facing financial difficulty, delivered only through selected frontline organisations. Individuals cannot apply directly.
Family Action – Welfare Grants Programme
Essential household items for qualifying households; applications must be submitted by eligible referring organisations. Some priority areas currently paused.
Family Fund – England disabled children grants
Grants for lower-income families caring for a disabled or seriously ill child aged 17 or younger. England programme: first-time applicants only until the end of March 2027.
Royal Osteoporosis Society
Information, specialist support and osteoporosis advice. Not an individual cash grant scheme.
British Red Cross
Practical crisis assistance and other support services, subject to programme and geographic availability.
Army Benevolent Fund
Welfare support for soldiers, veterans and their families, subject to the charity’s criteria.
Royal Literary Fund
Support for writers and educational programmes; check the fund’s current rules and programmes.
Royal Voluntary Service
Volunteer-led community support, particularly for older people and NHS services; availability varies locally.
Samaritans
Free emotional support for people in distress. Not a cash grant provider.
Royal British Legion
Support and advice for serving and former Armed Forces members and their families; eligibility is assessed by the charity.
Child Bereavement UK
Support for bereaved children and families and for families facing the death of a child.
